INLAND: Freeway holdups, gunfire prompting increased CHP patrols

A series of early morning holdups — and at least two shootings — last week along Inland freeways have prompted the California Highway Patrol officers to increase their surveillance of those areas and assign a team of investigators to the cases, CHP officials say.
